Mental Health Toolkit: Implementing a Whole-School Culture of Staff Wellbeing and Mental Health: Welcome and Overview
Welcome to the Mental Health Toolkit!
The Mental Health Toolkit provides everything your school needs to implement a culture of staff wellbeing and mental health. While the Toolkit process is appropriate for all types of school, it is adaptable and you can customise it to your needs. There are two versions of the Mental Health Toolkit: this online version and a Manual which has been scanned for accessibility. While everyone can use the Manual, it is especially appropriate if you have a visual impairment and are using a screen reader.
The Mental Health Toolkit takes you step-by-step through the process of building a culture of staff wellbeing and mental health in Modules, fully supported by documentation. The content of the Mental Health Toolkit is available online. While following it step-by-step is recommended, you can go back or move forward through the Toolkit as you wish. Each step is numbered in sequence with the first number indicating the module e.g. Step 1.1 = Module 1, Step 1; Step 4.1 = Module 4, Step 1.
Staff communication documents, including email templates, are in Word format and also customisable, enabling you to tailor them to your own context.
An online survey enables you to begin the Mental Health Lead Toolkit in Module 3 by identifying staff wellbeing and mental health issues so that you can create an action plan to address them.
